Fav Yoga Posture: I love poses that combine strength and balance, like side plank and half moon
Off the mat: I love cooking, baking, and pretty much anything that involves creating with my hands. In my downtime, you can find me with my dogs, listening to music, reading, and spending time in water or hammocks.
Journey to Yoga: During grad school I started taking ‘gym yoga' classes a couple times a week. My practice was sporadic for the next two decades, with occasional in-studio classes and a couple yoga DVDs. In 2020, I started a personal wellness journey that led me back to yoga. I replaced my commute time with a daily meditation and yoga practice that began restoring my physical and mental health. Then in the fall of 2022, I moved back to OKC where I found 405 YOGA and was immediately hooked.
I love that yoga and meditation tap into our inner wisdom and strength. I love that yoga is not just a workout but a lifestyle that serves as an anchor and north star. I love all the ways it challenges and nourishes, often at the same time. As a yoga teacher, my goal is to create inclusive, empowering, trauma-informed experiences that cultivate self-compassion and a growth mindset.
